OEM Height 13" Tall & 14" Width

Our R1200GS standard windshield was designed for simplicity and utility. The contour and rake angle off the OEM are very similar to our replacement shield. This windshield is available in five different heights from two to six inches taller with two different width options at either two or four inches wider. Installation is easy and includes instructions with new cover washers/screws and also retains the stock adjustability of the original screen. The two inch wider shield is suggested for most average sized riders. The four inch is recommended for larger wider torsos or riders who just want more upper body protection.

Our testing revealed that the wind blast protection to the torso area significantly improved with less wind noise. Head turbulence and buffeting is decreased by having a proper sized shield that matched the rider’s height needs. With the correct sized shield the rider will still be looking over the shield while deflecting the ram air up and over the head. This shield works well for paved roads and light off road use. For the off road enthusiast or stand up rider our Adventure Enhanced system would better suited for harsher environments (stronger & more stable).
To determine height for the new or existing shield on either the GS or Adventure draw a straight line between the two lower mounting holes on the front side, simply measure on center from that line to the top center of the shield. The OEM GS shield measures approximately thirteen inches tall by fourteen inches wide.

All shields are manufactured from .150 aircraft grade acrylic and available in clear, green, light & dark gray tints.
