These third generation shields were designed for head stability with performance that’s second to none. First, we eliminated the headlight cut out and raised the lower portion of the shield. This adjustment offsets the lower ram air blast that comes off the gas tank. In turn this disperses the air to the mid section instead of being hit in the neck, jaw and helmet area. Then we adjusted the rake angle bringing the shields trailing edge as close to the riders face as possible. This eliminates the need for any block type spacers or other modifications. The result is a trailing edge close enough to be effective yet still maintains a comfortable space between the riders face and shield.
Next, we incorporated a subtle reverse curve and repositioned the location to a point that’s higher on the surface. Finally, we finished it off with a stylish look with the appropriate area of surface mass in the right locations. The result is a shield that significantly reduces or eliminates the debilitating buffeting effects that associated with others.
Manufactured from .187 aircraft grade acrylic and available in clear, light & dark gray tints.
Suggested sizing is for most average body builds with standard seats. Riders that are caught in between sizes or have different seats need to determine torso, seat height, and posture for best results:
21” for most riders 5'10" & under
23” for most riders 5'11” to 6'1"
25” for most riders 6'2" to 6’4”
