Reports taken from Goldwing Message Boards

As I have stated in posts before...I have the Cee Baily +4 (tinted) and have nothing but praise for it. I am 6'2" and I am able to look directly over the shield in its lowest position. I planned it that way so as to add stability. I got tired of the OEM flexing in a cross wind. Now, the cross wind effects on the rider and passenger reduced significantly. The vent in the bottom and its shape, is the secret to its success.

Helmet buffeting has been reduced for the rider about 75-80% and also about the same for the passenger. It also has reduced dramatically, the wind noise in the passengers headset to the point I won't need a vox unit.

Quality of the shield is excellent! It is fabricated from aircraft acrylic, close to optically clear. The only complaint I have is that Cee Baily does not paint the bottom of the shield black as was the OEM. It does not look quite as clean at the bottom but with all its other features, who cares. If I wish...they still make black paint. (Some photos attached)

Hope this helps.

Bob very thing you said about your +4 is ture. I too have the +4 and what a different for both the rider and passenger. Buffeting is greatly reduced, I can hear music thru my helmet speakers and can even trun down the volume on the bike speakers because wind noise is much reduced. We are happy with our Cee Bailey

I put a+ 1" Cee Bailey on bigphred. I am 5' 11" 1/2 (not being paranoid about not getting to6 ft) Long torso. I have it at the lowest and voila! I can see over the WS and it is about an inch taller! I took a 600 mile trip yesterday, the last 250 not stop.

1. Less buffeting but not completely gone.
2. the "billowing" wind from the back was nearly gone.
3. the vent created a pleasant flow of air
4. rain was not a problem but I wear a full face helmet.
5. there is less space on the dash for my companion "growler" and he will have to go the way of velcro.
6. the added thickness is very noticable and for some reason it gives me a good feeling(??)
7. I can hear thru the headsets more clearly (volume at the 15-17 level) and I have a real hearing problem.
8. I like the cosemetics...simple and aerodynamic looking.

I am looking forward to seeing what this company develops for the bmw 1200c sheild.

I just installed a C.B. +2. Install was very easy and it virtually ended the pounding buffet noise in the ears at the full height setting. We usually ride without helmets and the sound volume through the speakers was *noticeably* better. No longer considering adding an amp. The NACA vent dramatically reduced the low pressure bubble in the cockpit and I believe that is a huge factor in reducing the buffeting. YMMV.

I'm almost 6'4" and I ordered the +2 tinted.... I look over the top of the screen.......

I've used both the stock and the tall honda screens and wanted something more.....

The Cee Bailey seems to do the trick.... it was about 1 1/2 or 2" wider at the top and the coat sleeves don't move so bad in the wind as with the stock Honda...

I have it set full down and like it that way, I can see over the top..... like I like and I don't have a problem with the bugs in the face like I did with the tall honda...

I've ridded in a storm in Alaska and didn't have a great amount of water through the vent.....

I bought some of the Plexus for cleaning and caring for it and I'm pleased and would do it again.......

I have both Cee Baileys and Windbenders. I have both types of Windbender, the ST and the HP. I use the Cee Baileys -2". Better looking, just as adjustable, much better optically, wider than stock. CB seems to give better protection than either WB shields. WB HP seemed to collect water at lip during heavy rain, I look over all my shields, but when I have to look thru WB, distortion at edges and lip. Cee Baileys is much clearer. Cee Baileys is best of them IMHO.
