Our specially constructed back rest and support is made to attach to the standard BMW top case. These are manufactured in-house, and are vinyl matched with your standard RT seat vinyl. The back rest is thermoformed to the shape of the BMW top case, then two densities of foam are added for stiffness and comfort. The top layer is made from "Space age visco-elastic memory foam", which conforms to the shape of your back. Though a bit thicker than the standard BMW back support, our support offers more padding for long range comfort. Installation takes about 10 minutes, and we provide a drilling template to drill two ¼" holes into the case, which are used to hold the back rest in place. All instructions and hardware is provided. You will need a hand drill or drill motor and a ¼" drill bit to complete the job.
