CUSTOM
SEAT RECUSHIONING SYSTEM
|
We now offer complete seat repair, rebuild and recushioning systems utilizing NASA developed Confor visco-elastic foam in multiple densities to stabilize, cushion and recover your single density stock OEM seat. All seat upgrades are hand crafted, starting with stripping the seat to its pan, providing repairs to the pan if necessary, build the seat with composite foam, layer by layer, individually contour the seat, sew the cover(s) and reattach the cover to the pan.
Our recushioning system spreads the riders weight more evenly over the seating surface, which enhances long-term comfort and virtually eliminates hot spots associated with the stock motorcycle seats. The recushioning system establishes the rider in a proper, comfortable riding position. Our "Space age visco-elastic memory foam" is pressure and temperature sensitive and the cushion is designed to shift the pelvis in a proper sitting position. All seats are built using your stock seat pan, and using custom foam densities, different shapes and layering techniques, we provide a stock looking seat with great comfort.

Leather
or vinyl
|
All
new motorcycles come from the factory with vinyl, some
are of less quality vinyl than others. BMW uses marine
grade vinyl on most of their newer bikes, and we stock
all of their vinyls for each bike make. Vinyl is very
durable and forgiving, and has built in elastomers for
pliability and reduces weather cracking, and is almost
carefree. Cleaning is easy, just wash with your normal
washing solution when you wash your bike. It also is
water resistant, but the holes in the stitching can
admit water to the foam. Vinyl does not breath, as with
leather, so it will insulate your body heat, resulting
in a hotter seat. All of the vinyl we use is marine
grade, which is one of the best and most costly vinyl
materials in the upholstery business.

Leather
is an option on all seats, and the choice of many
aftermarket cruiser seat companies, and many riders.
It is more expensive then vinyl, but if cared for
regularly, will give you many years of comfort. It
conforms easily to your body shape after time, and
is permeable, which allows heat and humidity to transfer
into the seat, which will keep your anatomy cooler
in the hotter months. Like your older leather jacket,
it gets more comfortable as it ages. It does require
more care than vinyl, regular cleaning with saddle
soap will keep the leather looking nice and supple,
and semi annual applications of water repellant such
as mink oil should be used on the seat. You should
also take care of the leather seat in rain soaked
conditions, not allowing the seat to become wet soaked
so it can absorb water. Use a rain cover when not
riding if left in the rain, and allow the seat to
dry out in warm area, with no direct sunlight. Please
call to inquire on exotic leather skins.
