The original Cross Country Tour shield design extends beyond the fairings upper edge resulting in a gap between the shield and fairing. There is also a large void present in the middle of lowest portion of the shield. Riders have reported the air quality to be satisfactory but do not appreciate the dirt, water, and other debris that enters from underneath. Riders also report the original shield to be too tall and many have requested a shorter shield which enables the rider to see over the top. We offer five sizes & three different tints to choose from for a shield to suit your riding needs.

First, we filled in the void at the lower center of the shield. Next, we extended the lower edge from side to side which reduces the shield to the fairing gap. The result is less debris and water from underneath with improved performance & better aesthetics. We also offer a Visor Vent option that allows riders to fine tune the air flow for maximum performance. Our road tests and riders both agree that the Visor Vent option provides a significant reduction in the ram air blast which only makes a good shield even better.

The original shield is identified by a six hole mounting pattern that measures 18” tall (original part # 2878528). Height is measured from the center of the bottom cut out to the top center of the shield. Don’t worry about the filled lower portion because heights are based off the originals. All replacement shields follow the same angle as the originals & all widths are the stock size. Part # 2878528 is listed as the “Kit Tall Shield” & will fit all 2010 & up Cross Country models. Please be advised that these replacement shields will not fit the earlier Victory # 2877655 which is listed as the “+3” Tall Shield”. This shield is identified by two exterior chrome support straps and the only current shield with this design.
